Amit Kumar Singh
Amit Kumar Singh is Director Indian Subcontinent-Government Affairs, Medtronic and has occupied several key posts in the corporate world and consistently supported indigenisation. He served as Government Affairs Head (India) at Mondelez India Foods Pvt Ltd while representing the Asia Pacific, Middle East and African regions in the global center for excellence for Public Affairs. Amit was awarded the regional (AMEA) award titled ‘AMEAZing Award’. Amit was elected as Vice President of Indian Confectionary Manufacturers Association (ICMA). He was also Head - Corporate Affairs at Asian Paints. Amit was successful in identifying, initiating and fructifying strategic partnerships and new markets and implemented large Greenfield projects (4200 Crs). He was Director-Corporate Affairs , External Relations, Policy Advocacy and Government relations at Ingersoll Rand International India Ltd. As Director-Defence/Aerospace/Security/Space, Amit was actively involved in providing policy-relevant research and consultancy to address Defence, Aerospace and homeland security issues at CII. His work assisted CII’s efforts towards development of a domestic defence and aerospace industrial base. Of late, his focus area of work has been policy advocacy in Climate Solutions, Energy Sector, Food Processing, Environment, Defence and Aerospace Industry, Defence procurement, offsets and Internal Security. Amit has rich experience in International Politics and national security research, risk analysis and policy advocacy to the Government. He has more than 30 publications (national and international) to his credit. His latest international publication is a book entitled ‘IAEA and Cooperation in Nuclear Technology: An evolving Multilateral Nuclear Verification Regime’ which is published by M/ s Lambert Academic Publication, Germany. As a research fellow at CLAWS he published a monograph on 'The Rising Tide of Left Wing Extremism in India and Implications for National Security’. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (deregistered), International Relations and Affairs, 2007 Col Brown's Cambridge School, Dehradun 1982 – 1990 and is Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.), International Relations and Affairs. He is also a Bachelor of Science (BSc), Physics, Chemistry, Maths, 1995 - 1998 DMA.
